Barts and the London School of Medicine & Dentistry was founded in 1785, making it one of the oldest medical schools in the UK. Keele’s medical programme is highly integrated, with learning centred around continuous feedback. Teaching is delivered through lectures, PBL, seminars, and cadaveric dissection, set in a modern spiral curriculum, in which core themes are revisited in increasing clinical detail each year.  The course is divided into three phases

Leeds’ five-year, integrated curriculum is known for its emphasis on clinical and communication skills. The medical school is a leader in patient and carer involvement, giving students an important insight into the experience of those with disabilities and those who care for them. Leeds is also a leader in educational technology, having developed a handful of award-winning apps. 

Liverpool's five year medical curriculum aims to produce doctors that are prepared for 21st century medical practice. The medical school prides itself on its use of technology to assist learning, including augmented reality, simulation, and virtual reality. Content is taught through a spiral curriculum, in which core themes are revisited each year in increasing clinical detail.

Oxford’s traditional medical programme has an international reputation, almost always ranked among the top ten courses globally. The course is delivered over six years, with the first three years of the course culminating in a BA degree. Prospective students should note that applications are made to individual colleges, so attention should be paid to specific entry requirements and places available to maximise chances of success. Alternatively, open applications can be made in which no college is specified. 

St Andrews’ six-year degree in Medicine is unique in the UK, with students studying for three years in St Andrews to earn a BSc in Medicine, before automatic progression to a partner university for the final three years of clinical study (partner institutions are Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Barts, and Manchester). Course highlights include learning anatomy through full-body dissection in a state of the art anatomy suite, small group tutorials, and modern facilities in the purpose built School of Medicine.
