With its first cohort of medical students starting in 2018, Anglia Ruskin is among the newest medical schools in the UK. The course was accredited by the GMC in 2017, meaning that Anglia Ruskin’s course is able to produce licensed doctors. Anglia Ruskin’s five-year medical programme is integrated and systems based, with the main campus situated in Chelmsford. The medical school takes pride in its innovative, community based, and student-centred curriculum.

Birmingham Medical School offers a five-year integrated programme, taught via lectures, seminars, tutorials, and PBL. With a population of 5 million patients and the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, an internationally acclaimed tertiary care centre, Birmingham offers a diverse environment for students to learn Medicine, with exposure to a variety of ethnic backgrounds, genders, sexualities, and socio-economic statuses. 

The University of Bristol Medical School offers a five-year, integrated medical curriculum, aiming to equip graduates for the changing landscape of Medicine in the 21st century. Teaching is delivered through lectures, seminars, independent study, and clinical placements, with the proportions of each changing over the five years of the course. Anatomy is taught by prosection.

Ranked number one in the 2020 Complete University Guide rankings, Dundee’s five-year medical programme has an impressive reputation. Dundee teaches its students with a spiral curriculum, in which key concepts are revisited in greater detail each year. Teaching is delivered via lectures, problem based learning, simulation based learning, and ward-based learning. 

Edinburgh Medical School’s six-year programme aims to produce doctors that are equipped for careers in general practice, hospital medicine, and academia. Having been ranked fourth in the UK for research power in 2014, Edinburgh highlights its academic rigor as a key feature of its medical curriculum. According to the school's website, "Medicine at Edinburgh offers a modern, innovative curriculum designed to prepare you for contemporary medical practice."

Glasgow’s medical programme was ranked joint first in the Complete University Guide 2021,  alongside Dundee. Utilising an innovative spiral curriculum, Glasgow delivers teaching via  lectures, problem-based learning, clinical placements, labs and e-learning. Core themes are revisited each year in more detail, with increasing clinical emphasis as the course progresses. 

Keele’s medical programme is highly integrated, with learning centred around continuous feedback. Teaching is delivered through lectures, PBL, seminars, and cadaveric dissection, set in a modern spiral curriculum, in which core themes are revisited in increasing clinical detail each year.  The course is divided into three phases

Lincoln Medical School took on its first cohort of students in 2019, making it one of the newest courses in the UK. The five-year, integrated programme is delivered in collaboration with the University of Nottingham, with full accreditation from the GMC. The course is predominantly taught at the University of Lincoln's Brayford Pool campus, delivering new medical school buildings in 2021 equipped with lecture theatres, laboratories, simulation facilities, and a prosection anatomy suite. 

Admitting over 400 medical students each year, Manchester is the largest medical school in the UK. Within its five year, integrated curriculum, Manchester’s course sets itself apart with its unique European Studies programme, in which students are supported in learning a second language prior to training in a Spanish, French, or German clinical attachment in the final year of the course. The university is proud to teach anatomy through full body dissection, alongside prosections, skeletal materials, and anatomical models. 

The University of East Anglia (UEA) at Norwich opened its doors to medical students in 2002, aiming to prepare graduates for complex needs of patients in the 21st century. Embracing early clinical contact, students at UEA have patient contact from their first month on the course. Curriculum highlights include cadaveric dissection, small group teaching, and state-of-the-art clinical skills facilities at the Bob Champion Research and Education Building. 

Sheffield’s five-year integrated curriculum champions patient-focused Medicine. Students have clinical contact from year one, complemented by early clinical skills training. Teaching is delivered through lectures, seminars, tutorials, small group work, and full-body dissection for anatomy. Sheffield’s medical programme is divided into four phases. Sheffield was ranked 12th in the UK in clinical, pre-clinical and health in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2020.

St Andrews’ six-year degree in Medicine is unique in the UK, with students studying for three years in St Andrews to earn a BSc in Medicine, before automatic progression to a partner university for the final three years of clinical study (partner institutions are Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Barts, and Manchester). Course highlights include learning anatomy through full-body dissection in a state of the art anatomy suite, small group tutorials, and modern facilities in the purpose built School of Medicine.
